Whatever Shankar does, it is always unique and big. He is certainly one of the untouched directors of Indian cinema. His upcoming science-fiction ‘Endhiran’ (Robot in Telugu), which was thought to be made at a budget of about Rs 100 crore, seems to cost much more than estimated. It is said that the film may now exceed a massive budget of Rs 165 crore. This is undoubtedly the highest budget film ever made in the Indian cinema. The buzz is that the cost of one particular song in the film had reached Rs 30 crore.

‘Robot’ has south Indian superstar Rajinikanth romancing former miss world Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Action king Arjun is said to play a key role in the film. J D Chakravarthy is playing the role of the villain for this magnum opus.

The film is set for 2010 release. The films background score and music is composed by Oscar award winner A R Rehman.

After the mighty “Shivaji,” the entire Indian Film Industry is anxiously looking for the second giant venture of Ace director Shanker and South Indian super star Rajini Kanth. More to tell, this time they have another major attraction i.e. former miss world Aishwarya. Their 100-crore budget film “Robo” is in brisk progress.

About 80% of the shooting has been completed so far, and post-production works are also being done simultaneously. Except two songs and few scenes, almost the entire shooting is said to be completed. Apart from these, almost half of the graphic works have also been completed.

Makers of “Robot” are spending 30 crore for a single song. The song is said to feature 1000 dancers who will be supporting the female and the male lead actors. They wear the costume of robots and dance like them to make it appear real.

The movie is said to feature most astonishing effects one could ever see. Makers of “Robot” are planning to release the movie in five languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and other regional languages. This 100-crore movie is expected to set new records in India and draw attention from all over the world. So…just wait for its grand release!!!

The movie stars South Indian Super Star Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Bachan. Robot is directed by the Ace director Shankar who has directed great movies like Gentleman, Premikudu, Jeans, Bharatheeyudu, Boys, Oke Okkadu, Aparichithudu and Shivaji. A R Rehman, recipient of Oscar Award is scoring music for the movie. This over 100-crore budget movie is produced by K.Karunamurthi and C.Arun Pandiyan.
